Why we need Air Purifiers?
One good reasion for Air Purifiers in your home/work place......is
your family's health!
We spend thousands of dollars to clean our floors, walls, kitchen
counters, bed sheets, pillows, garments and very little or nothing
to clean the air we breathe. An average person consumes about 35
pounds of air in a 24 hour cycle, which is 6 times more than food
and water both put together. Therefore, the quality of the air that
we breathe plays a major role in the quality of our health.
If some gave you a dirty glass of water, would you drink it? Obviously
not. But we breathe dirty indoor air every day....a major cause
of sickness and disease.
Why indoor air is more polluted than
outdoor air?
We're building houses, apartments, offices all very airtight to
conserve energy. Without realizing, we're also trapping pollutants.
Such as pollution from wall paint, carpeting, household cleaning
products, pet dander, skin flackes that we shed every second, germs
and bacteria generated from sickness and disease, smoke, odor, mold
and more.
These trapped pollutants cause all kinds of health hazard including
allergy, asthama, sinus headaque, sleep disorder and more.
How QFL Air Purifiers purify the indoor
air?
The Ozone & Negative Ions generated by QFL Air Purifiers Purify
the air three ways:
By
killing germs, bacteria, viruses, dust-mites, molds...
By
breaking down Smoke, Odor, chemical fumes, carbon monoxide and
other gaseous pollutants
Negatively
charged ions latch on to positively charged dust particle forming
clusters. These clusters become heavy and fall on the floor and
can be easily removed by vacuuming the room.
QFL Air Purifiers generate a natural gas called activated oxygen
also known as ozone and negatively charged ions. Ozone is one of
the most powerful disinfectants available in the market today. Ozone
kills germs and bacteria 3000 times faster than chlorine and does
not leave any residue behind it. In fact unused ozone in your room
or home/work place gets converted back into oxygen providing much
needed oxygen indoors. Ozone also reacts with chemicals, fumes and
other pollutants and breaks them down into harmless compounds and
pollution free indoor air.
As pollution indoors goes up, the oxygen content goes down. Therefore,
we breathe less and less oxygen. QFL Air Purifiers not only remove
pollutants including smoke, odor, chemical fumes but also add oxygen
in the indoor air.
What is ozone and how it is generated
by QFL Air Purifier?
Have you ever taken a walk after a thunderstorm and experienced
the clean, fresh smell in the air. That’s Ozone at work.
Ozone is a tri-atomic allotrope of oxygen formed by recombination
of oxygen atoms. It is a colorless gas with characteristic pungent
odor and can easily be detected at low level of .05ppm (parts per
million)
Lightning creates an abundance of activated oxygen – Ozone
(O3) and negative & positive ions in the air. The negative &
positive ions cause particular's to join and as they become heavy,
they drop from the air.
An atom from O3 (Ozone) splits off to oxidize a pollutant leaving
behind O2 (Oxygen), the air we breath.
QFL Air Purifiers simulate the same natural process to produce
ozone to clean and purifiey indoor air. The ambient air is passed
through a high electrical voltage in the machine and the oxygen
in the ambient air is converted into ozone. This ozone is then pumped
in the room to purify the air indoors.
Ozone has quickly become a disinfectant of choice, because it pierces
cell walls of the bacteria & viruses on contact destroying them
3000 times faster than chlorine. Unlike chlorine, ozone produces
non toxic by-products not potentially carcinogenic agents.
One of the most exciting aspects of ozone purification is that
any unused ozone in the room will get converted into oxygen in about
45 minutes. Therefore, you have more oxygen to breathe.
Benefit Summary: QFL Ozone Air Purifiers not only remove pollutants
but also add oxygen in the indoor air.
Do QFL Air Purifiers generate negative
ions and how negative ions remove dust from indoors?
Yes, QFL Air Purifiers also produce negative ions. These negative
ions latch on to floating dust particles in the room and form clusters.
These clusters become heavy and can not float. Subsequently they
fall on the floor and can be easily removed by vacuuming the room.
Thus you breathe dust & allergy free oxygen rich air.
Several studies have confirmed that negative ions have positive
effect on our health and can work as mood enhancers.
How QFL Air Purifiers are different
from other purifiers in the market?
Most air purifiers in the market are air filters. They draw the
air inside the unit with filter or a grid and push the same air
after the filtration in the room. After a while the filter/grid
becomes the source of contamination and the air coming out of these
units are almost the same? Also filters can not kill germs and bacteria,
they can only take out sediments from the room.
QFL ozone air purifiers are true purification machines because
the machines do not draw the air in. The machines produce ozone
and pump it in the room. The purification is all done outside the
machine.
There are no filters to change and you have more oxygen to breathe.
Is Ozone Safe?
One of the most common questions we get asked is about ozone safety.
Yes, when used properly, like anything else, ozone is safe.
There is no reason to fear ozone.
Yes, breathing in overly high ozone levels is not good for you.
But low levels of ozone are all around us, and are safe to breathe.
The distinction must be made of what the application of the ozone
is for.
To remove serious odors, kill bacteria, and destroy mold it is important
to perform in UNOCCUPIED ROOMS ONLY!
One must make the distinction that a high ozone level in an UNOCCUPIED
ROOM has absolutely nothing to do with any of the warnings issued
for ozone use concerning air purification. .
When you are NOT in the room at the time, it is completely safe
to use ozone at any level, as long as you wait until the ozone reverts
back to oxygen to re-enter the room, which takes only about an hour
or two. Since ozone is made up entirely of oxygen it can only revert
back to natural oxygen once the ozonation process is completed.
Therefore while high levels of ozone are toxic, within a short time
ozone reverts back to non-toxic oxygen.
So when you read about warnings concerning ozone understand that
is only referring to overly high levels in OCCUPIED SPACES.
These warnings have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH UNOCCUPIED ROOM
USE! Our machines are designed to produce high levels of ozone when
needed to perform in UNOCCUPIED ROOMS. High ozone levels are an
absolute MUST to kill bacteria, mold, and have the ability remove
strong odors.
Remember unless you can achieve toxicity, in an UNOCCUPIED ROOM,
you will never be able to kill mold and bacteria. The definition
of toxicity means to kill. Without toxicity you cannot kill any
bacteria or mold.
Ozone can be safely used for air purification in occupied rooms.
It is true that you do not want an overly high ozone exposure in
an occupied room. We advise using as little ozone as possible for
air purifying. Ozone concentrations of 0.05ppm are within most recommended
safe exposure levels for air purification levels. At a low setting
our machine is designed to produce less than .05ppm.
It is important to remember that when using ozone for air purification,
control over the ozone level is THE most important feature.
We've designed our machines to have the most control over the ozone
output as compared to any other ozone machine made. This is achieved
by providing a manual control knob. You can regulate the ozone output
manually to your comfort level or completely shut it off when you
start smelling ozone in the room. The ozone smell indicates that
air in the room is fresh and no more ozone is needed.
After a few hours when you feel stuffiness in the room air you
may turn the machine on again. Our machine offers the complete control
of ozone generation in your room.
At a low setting our machine is designed to produce enough ozone
to freshen the air inside the room without any cause of concern.
We recommend that if the inside the room is very polluted, you must
shock the room with high ozone setting for a few hours. Make sure
that the room is unoccupied at the time of shock treatment.
Thereafter you may use the machine at a very low setting or completely
shut it off and use it as needed.
Safe Ozone Levels:
FDA: 06 PPM (Parts Per Million) for continuous exposure.
OSHA: 0.10 PPM for 8 hour exposure
Our Units are designed to produce maximum of .04 PPM (a very safe
level).
Size Of Particulate Removal by QFL Air Purifiers: 0.0001 microns
as compared to HEPA Filters that remove particulates greater than
0.30 microns.
What are the important features of QFL
